Corn meal sour cream biscuits

Ingredients

cup Flour
½ cup Corn meal
1 tablespoon Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking powder
¾ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Soda
¼ cup Shortening
¾ cup Sour cream
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
2 tablespoons Melted butter

Directions

From: callie@... (Carolyn Wiley) Date: 25 May 1995 20:19:33 -0600 This makes really tender and tasty biscuits. Mix first six ingredients together. Mix shortening, sour cream and egg together and then add to dry ingredients. Pat out dough and cut with biscuit cutter. Mix sesame seeds and melted butter together and spread on top before baking. Bake at 400 or 425 degrees.
