Crab with curried almond rice

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
6 tablespoons Butter
2 mediums Tomatoes, peeled and chopd
1 Clove garlic, chopped
4 drops Tabasco sauce, (or more to taste)
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Paprika
6 tablespoons Flour
3 cups Milk
2 cans Or frozen pkgs. crab meat or imitation crab
1 cup Blanched almonds
1 teaspoon Curry powder
3 cups Hot cooked rice

Directions

Melt 6 T. margarine in saucepan. Add tomatoes, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add flour and stir until well blended. Add milk and simmer until thick, stirring constantly. Add crabmeat. Simmer for 10 mins. Meanwhile melt 2 T. butter in another saucepan. Add almonds and curry powder. Saute. Stir and toss with rice.
