Cranberry glazed yams

8 | mediums | Yams, cooked and halved, or 1 (16 oz) can whole packed yams, drained |
1 | cup | Whole-berry cranberry sauce |
½ | cup | Water |
¼ | cup | Firmly packed brown sugar |
½ | teaspoon | Grated orange peel |
1 | tablespoon | Butter or margarine |
Directions
Arrange yams in a shallow, buttered baking dish. Combine cranberry sauce, water, brown sugar, and orange peel in a saucepan; mix well, and bring to a boil. Cook gently 5 minutes. Add butter and pour mixture over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, basting frequently. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
