Diabetic apple crunch

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 slices Dry bread;
1 tablespoon Diet margarine;
½ teaspoon Cinnamon;
½ teaspoon Allspice;
3 cups Apples; Cored sliced
1 tablespoon Lemon juice;
¾ cup Dietetic maple syrup

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon allspice. Mix apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
