* Prepare Basic Holiday Cookie dough, with the following changes. Stir 1½ ounces crushed hard peppermint candies (about 3 Tablespoons) into dough. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate until well chilled. For each cookie, drop rounded teaspoon of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. bake in 350 F.
