Easy local ribs

Ingredients

3 | pounds | Meaty country-style pork spareribs, cut into pieces |
3 | tablespoons | Soy sauce |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | dash | Pepper |
Pineapple chunks; for garnish | ||
Chopped green onions; for garnish | ||
1 | cup | Syrup-packed pineapple chunks, drained |
½ | cup | Brown sugar; packed |
⅓ | cup | Ketchup |
⅓ | cup | Vinegar |
2 | tablespoons | Soy sauce |
2 | teaspoons | Grated fresh ginger |
2 | Cloves garlic; minced |
Directions
SAUCE
Rub spareribs all over with 3 tablespoons of the soy sauce, salt and pepper. Place ribs, meat side up, in a foil-lined baking or roasting pan and cover with foil or baking-pan lid. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 450 degrees. Drain off fat.
Combine sauce ingredients; pour over ribs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until tender, basting occasionally.
Garnish with pineapple chunks and green onions.
