Easy potato soup

6 | Frozen Gourmet Choice Hash Brown Patties | |
2½ | cup | Water |
2 | tablespoons | Dried chopped Onion |
3 | tablespoons | Dried Celery Flakes |
½ | cup | Water |
1 | tablespoon | Chicken flavored Bouillon Granules |
2 | cups | Milk |
2 | tablespoons | Dried Chives |
Salt to taste | ||
Pepper to taste | ||
1 | cup | Sour Cream* |
2 | tablespoons | Flour |
Directions
In large saucepan or stockpot, combine hash brown patties and 2½ cups water. Cover and place over medium heat, stirring occasionally to break up patties. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, place dried onion and celery flakes in ½ cup water; let water absorb. Add onion mixture and bouillon granules to potato mixture. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in milk, chives, salt and pepper; mix well. In a small bowl blend sour cream and flour until smooth. Gradually stir sour cream mixture into soup. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Makes 7 (1-cup) servings.
NOTE: *Lite sour cream may be used in place of sour cream.
