Fig and apple compote

1 Lemon; Juice of
1 cup Apple juice
2 larges Tart apples; chopped, peeled and cored
½ cup Large chopped dried figs
1 large Stick cinnamon; broken into pieces
½ teaspoon Freshly grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ cup Honey

Directions

Bring juice of lemon and apple juice to boil in saucepan. Add apples, dried figs, and honey. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer uncovered until thick. Add vanilla and stir. Serve warm. Formatted by Olivia Liebermann.
