Fig and apple compote

1 | cup | Apple juice |
2 | larges | Tart apples; chopped, peeled and cored |
½ | cup | Large chopped dried figs |
1 | large | Stick cinnamon; broken into pieces |
½ | teaspoon | Freshly grated nutmeg |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
¼ | cup | Honey |
Directions
Bring juice of lemon and apple juice to boil in saucepan. Add apples, dried figs, and honey. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer uncovered until thick. Add vanilla and stir. Serve warm. Formatted by Olivia Liebermann.
