HAWAIIAN SAUCE

Combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, onion, evaporated milk, and seasoned salt, blending well. Shape mixture into 6 patties; brown on both sides in a small amount of hot salad oil. Spoon Hawaiian Sauce over patties; cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve each patty on a bun, if desired.

Hawaiian Sauce: Drain pineapple, reserving juice; add enough water to equal 1 cup liquid. Combine juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, and soy sauce in a saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickend. Add pineapple and green pepper; stir until blended. Yield: about 2 cups.
