Hearty ham and cabbage chowder

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 cup Celery -- thinly sliced
½ cup Onion -- chopped
2 Cloves garlic -- minced
28 ounces Can whole tomatoes,
Undrained -- cut in half
17 ounces Whole kernel corn --
Undrained
16 ounces Can sliced potaotes --
Undrained
10½ ounce Can chicken broth
1 cup Water
¼ cup Catsup
¼ cup Brown sugar
1 pounds Ham -- cubed
3 cups Cabbage -- thinly sliced

Directions

In 4 quart saucepan over medium heat, saute celery, onion, and garlic in oil for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Makes 12 one cup servings.
