Janet's boiled cookies

Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |

2 | cups | Sugar |
½ | cup | Milk |
½ | cup | Butter or margarine |
3 | tablespoons | Cocoa |
3 | cups | Oats; rolled (raw), (not Quick kind) |
½ | cup | Peanut butter |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
½ | cup | Nuts |
Directions
Mix sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and boil for 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients at once. Drop by teaspoons full on waxed paper and let cool.
Makes about 3 dozen.
Source: Heather Smith. Janet was a cousin who made a great hit serving these at an enormous family picnic in the '50s.
