Kentucky bourbon sweet potatoes

4 cups Sweet potatoes; cooked
OR
2 cans Sweet potatoes, 16 oz well drained
1 cup Sugar
¾ cup Pecans; chopped
¾ cup Brown sugar
½ cup Bourbon
2 Eggs
½ cup Margarine
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup Margarine

TOPPING

Recipe by: Come and Get It! by Jr. Welfare League of Talladega, Al Mash sweet potatoes. Add sugar, bourbon, eggs, margarine, nutmeg, and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Turn into a 2 qt shallow baking dish. Topping: In a saucepan, stir margarine, nuts, and brown sugar together. When margaine is melted, spoon on top of potatoes. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
