Kitfo - ehtiopian tartar steak

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 ounces Butter
¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon Chili pepper
1 teaspoon Salt
pounds Lean round steak; freshly ground

Directions

Chopped beef should be freshley ground just before serving. It is served raw.

In a 9-inch skille melt the butter. Add seasonings and stir thoroughly. Add ground steak and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately. Do not cook.

If your guest prefer the kitfo cooked, saute it over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
