1 7/16 | ounce | Butter |
1 7/16 | ounce | Flour |
2⅛ | cup | Broth or water |
1 | tablespoon | Capers |
1 | teaspoon | Lemonjuice |
1 | Egg yolk | |
2 | tablespoons | Water |
½ | Salted Herring (if desired) |
Directions
1. Soak the bun in water until soft, squeeze out with hand and add to meat.
2. Chop the onion finely, add to meat.
3. Add the egg white and if desired, the finely chopped hering with salt and peeper to the meat. Knead with hand until it is a smooth dough. Form round dumplings from dough.
4. In a pot melt butter, add flour and stir and let it get light yellow, add the broth or water, stirring constantly.
5. Add the dumplings and let simmer 15 minutes.
6. Short before the time is up, add the lemon juice, capers and stir in the egg yolk , dont let it come to a boil again. 7. Serve with wide noodles and salad and a cold beer.
