Kvasivka selians'ka - tart village soup

2 | cups | Meat stock beef or pork |
2 | cups | Sauerkraut juice |
1 | each | Egg large |
1 | cup | Sour cream |
2 | tablespoons | Flour |
1 | teaspoon | Dill freshly chopped |
½ | cup | Potatos mashed |
Rye bread croutons |
Directions
Bring stock to a boil & add sauerkraut juice. Mix in sour cream, flour, & egg. add a small portion of the hot stock. Mix then add to the pot & simmer for 3 minutes. Add the mashed potatos ands sprinkle with the dill. Seve with the ryebread croutonsmsprinkled over the soup. ORIGIN: Alla Medinsky, Kiev, Ukraine, circa 1996
