Lazy daizy cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Butter
½ cup Shortening
1½ cup Sugar
3 Eggs
1 teaspoon Soda
1 teaspoon Baking powder
2 teaspoons Nutmeg
2 cups Flour
1 cup Buttermilk
¼ teaspoon Salt

Directions

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks. Add flour and other ingredients. alternately with milk. Fold in last, beaten egg whites.

Bake in a loaf pan. While hot pour a can of Eagle brand milk on top.

Sprinkle with coconut and run under broiler to brown.
