Macerated peaches

Ingredients

1 pounds Peaches, sliced
cup Sugar
¼ cup Grand Marnier
1 tablespoon Fresh grated ginger
¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
3 slices Angel food cake
1 Scoop of vanilla bean ice
Cream
Fresh mint sprigs
Powdered sugar in shaker

Directions

In a glass container, combine all the ingredients together. Allow the peaches to marinate overnight. Using a fork, slightly mash ¼ of the peaches against the side of the dish. Lay the pieces of angel food cake in a shallow bowl. Place the ice cream in the center of the cake. Spoon the peaches over the ice cream. Garnish with mint and powdered sugar

Yield: about 2 cups of peaches
