Mocha spice cake

¾ | cup | Brown sugar |
½ | cup | White sugar |

1¾ | cup | Pastry flour |
2½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
¼ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |

1 | teaspoon | Soluable coffee or coffee |

¾ | cup | Sour milk |
1 | teaspoon | Lemon juice |
Directions
Directions Cream until very soft. Mix then blend in both sugars.Cream until light and fluffy. Beat well and add eggs. Sift, then measure flour, then re-sift with baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt. Dissolve coffee in sour milk and add lemon juice. Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixtures alternately with wet ingredients, combining thoroughly after each addition. Turn into a well greased and floured 8" square pan. Bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes. From: Georgina Major
