This frothy lemon drink is ubiquitous at frstive Sunday brunches in New Orleans. You will find that our lime version is as deliciously refreshing as the original. If the juniper flavor of gin is not to your liking, simply Omit step 1.
1. In a microwave-safe dish or small saucepan, crush juniper berries and combine with ⅓ cup of the grape juice. Heat to steaming. Remove from heat and steep 15 to 20 minutes.
2. Strain cooled liquid into a blender and add remaining ingredients. Blend for 30 seconds, or until frothy. Serve in chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish side of glass with a lime slice, if desired.
