Oak alley restaurant bread pudding

Ingredients

10 | cups | Milk |
¾ | cup | Raisins |
10 | Po-boy loaves or hoagies | |
10 | Eggs | |
½ | cup | Vanilla extract |
½ | pounds | Butter |
1 | cup | White sugar |
2 | cups | Water |
¼ | pounds | Butter |
½ | cup | Whiskey |
Directions
WHISKEY SAUCE
For the pudding 1. Mix all ingredients except bread. Break bread into pieces, about 1 inch in diameter.
2. Mix into bowl with hands. Pour into a 9 X 24 inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 1-½ hours.
To Make the Sauce: 1. Boil water, sugar and butter for 30 minutes. Add whiskey.
2. Remove from heat. Pour over warm bread pudding.
