Old settlers beans
10 Servings
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
½ | pounds | Ground beef |
¼ | pounds | Bacon, fried & crumpled |
1 | Medium onion | |
1 | can | Red kidney beans (15 1/2oz) |
1 | can | B&M beans w/molasses (22 oz) |
1 | can | Butter beans (15 1/2 oz) |
1 | can | Great northern beans |
½ | cup | Brown sugar |
½ | cup | White sugar |
¼ | cup | Catsup |
½ | teaspoon | Dry mustard |
2 | tablespoons | Molasses |
Directions
Brown the beef and onion, chopped. Combine all ingredients in casserole and bake @ 350 for 1½ hours. Save the bean liquids from the cans to add if they should get too dry.
This can be made the day or several days before, frozen, and then reheated with the cover on on the day that you are taking them. (I know, I'm doing just that on Tuesday <G>).
