Parmesan croutons

4 cups

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 slices Bread; 3/4\" thick
¼ cup Butter (or marg.); melted
2 teaspoons Cheese, Parmesan; grated

Directions

Remove crust from bread, and cut bread into ¾" cubes. Brush or drizzle with butter, tossing lightly to distribute evenly. Sprinkle with cheese, and toss again.

Spread cubes in a single layer on a generously buttered cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until dry and lightly browned.

NOTE: To make bread rounds to use as appetizers or with soups and salads, cut bread slices with a 3" round cutter, brush with butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Toast as directed for croutons.
