Parmesan croutons

4 | slices | Bread; 3/4\" thick |
¼ | cup | Butter (or marg.); melted |
2 | teaspoons | Cheese, Parmesan; grated |
Directions
Remove crust from bread, and cut bread into ¾" cubes. Brush or drizzle with butter, tossing lightly to distribute evenly. Sprinkle with cheese, and toss again.
Spread cubes in a single layer on a generously buttered cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until dry and lightly browned.
NOTE: To make bread rounds to use as appetizers or with soups and salads, cut bread slices with a 3" round cutter, brush with butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Toast as directed for croutons.
