Pennestroika penne with vodka & spicy tomato cream sauce

Ingredients

⅛ | cup | Extra virgin olive oil |
2.00 | large | Garlic cloves minced |
¼ | teaspoon | Crushed red pepper flakes |
pinch | Of salt | |
15.00 | ounce | Can diced tomatoes |
8.00 | ounce | Penne or similar pasta |
½ | cup | Heavy cream or half and half |
2.00 | tablespoon | Vodka |
¼ | cup | Chopped parsley |
Directions
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. In unheated large skillet combine oil, garlic, peppers and pinch of salt. Stir to coat with oil. Cook over moderate heat till garlic is golden. Stir in tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile boil water and cook pasta al dente. Add drained pasta to skillet with tomato sauce. Add vodka and toss. Add cream and toss. Cover and reduce heat to low. Let sit
