Pennestroika penne with vodka and spicy tomato cream sauc

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Extra virgin olive oil
2 larges Garlic cloves minced
¼ teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
pinch Of salt
15 ounces Can diced tomatoes
8 ounces Penne or similar pasta
½ cup Heavy cream or half and half
2 tablespoons Vodka
¼ cup Chopped parsley

Directions

Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. In unheated large skillet combine oil, garlic, peppers and pinch of salt. Stir to coat with oil. Cook over moderate heat till garlic is golden. Stir in tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile boil water and cook pasta al dente. Add drained pasta to skillet with tomato sauce. Add vodka and toss. Add cream and toss.
