Peta brown gravy

Ingredients

2 | tablespoons | Margerine |
1 | medium | Onion; diced |
2 | tablespoons | Flour |
1 | teaspoon | Garlic salt |
2 | tablespoons | Cornstarch |
1½ | cup | Water or veg broth |
1 | teaspoon | Yeast extract |
1 | tablespoon | To 2T soy sauce or tamari |
Pepper to taste |
Directions
Heat the margerine in a med saucepan over med heat. Saute the onion for a few mins, then add the flour and garlic salt and saute another 8 mins. Dissolve the cornstarch in water or broth. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the onion mixture, bring to a boil, then simmer 10 mins. Strain the gravy into a seperate saucepan and add the yeast extract, soy sauce and pepper.
