These homemade chips recall the famous Saratoga Chips of days gone by. | ||
3 | mediums | Unprepared Potatoes (about 1lb.) |
Vegetable Oil | ||
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
½ | teaspoon | Sugar |
½ | teaspoon | Paprika |
¼ | teaspoon | Dry Mustard |
⅛ | teaspoon | Garlic POWDER |
Directions
Set oven control to broil. Cut potatoes lengthwise into eighths. Place potatoes, cut sides down, in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x1-inch. Brush lightly with oil. Mix remaining ingredients;sprinkle potatoes with half of the mixture. Broil potatoes with tops about 3-inches from heat until they bubble slightly, about 10 minutes.
Turn;brush with oil and sprinkle with remaining salt mixture. Broil until golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes longer. Serve with reduce-calorie sour cream if desired. Makes 6 servings, 4 pieces each. PER SERVING:Calories-80, Fat-2g, Protein-2g, Cholesterol-0mg, Carbohydrate-14g, Sodium-370mg
