Potatoes with salmoriglio sauce

Ingredients

2 | pounds | Small red new potatoes, scrubbed |
3 | tablespoons | Olive oil |
2 | tablespoons | Lemon juice |
1 | large | Clove garlic, peeled and forced through a press |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
¼ | teaspoon | Freshly ground black pepper to taste |
2 | tablespoons | Minced fresh oregano or 1 ts dried oregano crushed |
Directions
Cut the potatoes in halves and place in a steamer basket. Steam in a covered pan with water at a low boil. Steam about 20 minutes, until the potatoes are tender. Drain and transfer to a bowl.
While the potatoes are cooking combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano in a small jar.
Pour the sauce over the potatoes and stir well to coat. Let sit 5 minutes and serve.
