Ingredients

1 | cup | Hot Prune Juice |
1 | cup | Dried Prunes, cut in small pieces |
1 | cup | Sugar |
2 | tablespoons | Butter |
1 | Egg, separated | |
1 | teaspoon | Baking Soda |
1⅓ | cup | Sifted Flour |
½ | cup | Chopped Nuts |
Directions
Pour hot prune juice over prunes and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten egg yolk. Mix. Mix soda with the prunes and juice. Add alternately with flour to the creamed mixture.
Begin and end with some flour. Add nuts. Mix well.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg white. Bake in a 9 x 12-inch pan at 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Allow to cool. Cut in small squares and coat all sides with sifted confectioners' sugar. Yield: about 24 cookies Copyright, 1996, TV FOOD NETWORK, G.P., All Rights Reserved Posted to MC-Recipe Digest V1 #
