8 | ounces | Pitted prunes (abt 1 1/4 cups) |
1 | cup | Boiling water |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
Directions
1. Plump th prunes in the water in a bowl for 15 minutes.
2. Combine the prunes, ⅓ cup of the soaking liquid (or as needed), and the sugar in a food processor and pure to a smooth paste.
Use in place of butter or shortening in baked goods.
