Pumpkin tea cake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Sugar
1 cup Oil
3 Eggs
2 cups Pumpkin
3 cups Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Soda
½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Cloves
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions

Blend sugar and oil. Beat eggs. Add eggs, then pumpkin. Beat well.

Sift all dry ingredients together. Gradually add to mixture. Beat at medium speed. Line bottom of 9 inch tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Can substitute 1 cup of applesauce for 1 cup of pumpkin.
