Quickie chicken paprikash

2 | pounds | Chicken pieces |
3 | tablespoons | Flour |
3 | tablespoons | Shortening |
1 | can | Franco-American chicken gravy |
⅓ | cup | Sour cream |
1 | cup | Sliced onions |
1 | Clove garlic. minced | |
2 | teaspoons | Paprika |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | dash | Pepper |
Hot buttered noodles or mashed potatoes |
Directions
Dredge chicken pieces in flour; brown in hot shortening; drain off any excess fat. Mix together gravy, sour cream, onions, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper; pour over the chicken. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until chicken is tender and done.
Serve with hot buttered noodles, mashed potatoes or even rice.
