Ingredients

1 | Cake yeast | |
2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
1 | cup | Milk, scalded |
¼ | cup | Butter, melted |
2 | Eggs | |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
3 | cups | Flour |
Directions
Put yeast and sugar into a large bowl; pour on lukewarm milk; let set 10 minutes. Beat in butter and eggs. Sift together flour and salt, add to batter. Pour into well greased pans, cover and let rise until double, about 45 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes. Break into pieces while still warm and serve with butter.
