Raisin bread pudding

Raisin bread loaves
2 quarts Milk
½ cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
2 tablespoons Vanilla
¾ teaspoon Nutmeg
6 eaches Eggs, large
2 tablespoons Maple syrup

Directions

oven 350 grease 13 by 9 inch pan Place 8 bread slices in one layer, in baking dish. Cut each remaining slice diagonally in half and arrange on baking dish, overlapping slices. In a very large bowl with wire whisk, beat milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg with the eggs, until well beaten. Pour over bread, press down with fork, let stand 15 minutes. Bake 55 to 60 minutes until knife inserted comes clean, covering loosely with foil during the last 15 minutes, if top begins to overbrown. Brush top with maple syrup.
