Raspberry cinnamon applesauce

1 | pack | (10 oz.) thawed red raspberries |
3 | Cinnamon sticks | |
4 | pounds | Cooking apples; peeled/coarsely chop |
Sugar; (optional) |
Directions
Place raspberries, cinnamon and apples in heavy pan. Bring mixture to boil.
Reduce heat to low; cover. Simmer 15-20 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in sugar to taste, if desired. Remove cinnamon sticks.
Serve warm or refrigerate. Makes 6 cups. Great with pork and a great way to use all those Fall apples.
