Rice stuffing for turkey

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large Onion; chopped
1 tablespoon Shortening
½ pounds Sausage
1 cup Breadcrumbs, soft
1 cup Milk
4 cups Rice; cold, cooked
½ teaspoon Sage
1 teaspoon Thyme
1 teaspoon Salt
teaspoon Pepper

Directions

Brown onion in shortening; add sausage and cook until brown. Soak breadcrumbs in milk. Combine all ingredients and stuff turkey for baking.
