Sausage burgers

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 pounds Sausage, bulk pork
3 tablespoons Water
2 larges Tomatoes; cut in 3 slices ea
1 medium Onion; cut in 8 slices and separated into rings
8 Buns, hamburger; warmed

Directions

Shape sausage into 8 patties, ½ to ¾ inch thick, 3 to 4 inches in diameter. Place in a cold frying pan; add water, cover, and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Pour off drippings. Cook patties slowly on both sides until well done. Place patties, tomato slices, and onion rings between halves of warmed hamburger buns.
