Sister sadie's honey cake

Ingredients

1 | cup | Sugar |
2 | cups | Honey |
4 | Eggs | |
½ | cup | Vegetable oil |
½ | cup | Cold strong coffee or flat coca cola |
3 | cups | All-purpose flour |
2 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
½ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
1 | teaspoon | Allspice |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
¼ | cup | Sliced almonds |
Directions
Preheat oven to 325ø Grease and line with wax paper two 8 1/2x4½ inch loaf pans. Cream sugar and honey together. Beat in eggs, oil and coffee or Coke. Sift dry ingredients together and beat in. Divide between pans, sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake until top springs back and cake shrinks from sides of pan, about 45 minutes. Tops may crack. Cool on wire racks before turning out.
NOTE: Of course you can cut this recipe in half.
