Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Sugar beans, soaked overnight
2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons Sugar
4 tablespoons Vinegar
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground

Directions

Drain the water from the sugar beans. Cover the beans with fresh, cold water and cook until beans are tender. Drain the beans again and place them in a pan over low heat. Add butter, sugar and vinegar, shaking the pan. Add salt and pepper. Simmer the ingredients for 15 minutes on the lowest possible heat. Serve the beans hot or bottle them and store in refrigerator. I serve these as a cold side dish with bbq .
