Bacon Drippings |
Directions
Pound the steak to tender it. Cut into serving pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge with flour.
Heat a few tablespoons of bacon drippings in a heavy frying pan. Brown the pieces of steak well on both sides. Return all the steak to the frying pan.
Add water to cover. Bring to a boil and turn heat low. Cover and let simmer until tender - about 30/45 minutes. Put some flour in a jar with some water and shake until mixed well. Add to frying pan and bring to a boil. Stir until gravy thickens. Turn heat low, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
