Spinach and onion dip

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 tablespoons Olive oil
1 large Onion(s), chopped
2 larges Garlic clove(s), minced
10 ounces Pkg frozen spinach, thawed
¾ Carton fat-free sour cream (about 6 oz)
¼ teaspoon Ground white pepper
¼ teaspoon Ground red chile pepper powder
¼ teaspoon Ground cumin
¼ teaspoon Seasoned salt

Directions

Heat oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and saut until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Add spinach and saut for about 2 minutes more. Let cool. Pure in blender or food processor along with the sour cream and all the spices. Adjust seasoning; add more chile pepper powder if you like it very hot. Serve with crackers or raw vegetables.

Makes about 2 cups.
