Steamed vegetables with chile lime butter

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter
1 small Garlic clove; minced
1 teaspoon Lime peel; Grated
1 teaspoon Serrano pepper or jalapeno; Finely chopped
1 tablespoon Fresh lime juice
3 cups Mixed broccoli; cauliflower and carrots, Cut up
6 (3/4 cup servings)

Directions

1. Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat. Add garlic; cook and stir about 20 seconds. Add lime peel, chile and lime juice; mix well. Set aside.

2. Place steamer basket in large saucepan. Add 1 cup water; bring to a boil. Add cut-up vegetables to basket; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp tender.

3. To serve, place vegetables in serving bowl. Add butter mixture; toss gently.
