Strawberry-peach crisp

Ingredients

2 cups Sliced strawberries
2 cups Sliced peaches
¾ cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
3 cups Whole-wheat flour
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup Whole-wheat flour
¾ cup Light brown sugar
2 cups Unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
2 cups Quick oats

Directions

TOPPING

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix the strawberries, peaches, lemon juice, sugar, whole-wheat flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in an 8-inch square baking dish.

Make the topping by tossing together the whole-wheat flour, sugar, oats, butter, and cinnamon. Sprinkle the topping mixture over the strawberry-peach filling.

Bake for 35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crisp. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Yield: 6-8 Servings
