The pfeiffer-whites' house best cookies

Ingredients

1 | cup | Flour |
1 | cup | Sugar |
½ | cup | Crisco shortening |
1 | Egg | |
1 | tablespoon | Molasses |
1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
¾ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
1 | cup | Oatmeal |
1 | cup | Chocolate chips |
Directions
Combine all ingredients. Bake at 350°F for approximately 8-10 minutes. Do not overcook. Marilyn allows for exactly 9 minutes in her oven. Make certain that you check at 8 minutes. They will look almost undercooked.
Remove from oven when they are just turning tan on top, yet still soft.
Yields 4 dozen.
