Tomato juice cocktail - sl 1/90

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 each 46-oz can tomato juice
1 tablespoon Instant minced onion
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Bon appetit seasoning
1 teaspoon Powdered horseradish
teaspoon Pepper
1 each Bay leaf
6 eaches Whole cloves
2 eaches Whole allspice
3 tablespoons White vinegar

Directions

Combine all ingredients except vinegar in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat; stir in vinegar, and let cool. Strain and discard bay leaf, cloves, and allspice. Cover and chill 3 to 4 hours. Pour beverage into glasses. Yield: about 6 cups.
