Ingredients

2 tablespoons Butter
½ teaspoon Ground cardamom or ginger
¼ teaspoon Ground cloves
¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1 can Cling peach halves (29 oz)
1 cup Sour cream or yogurt
3 tablespoons Instant minced onion
2 tablespoons Ground coriander
½ teaspoon Ground cumin
½ cup Ground turmeric
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 pounds Turkey steaks (1/2\" thick)
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
3 cups Hot cooked rice
¼ cup Shredded coconut

Directions

Place butter in a 1-cup glass measure. Microwave on high 40 seconds, or until melted. Stir in cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Microwave on high 1 minute, or until spices are fragrant.

Pour butter mixture into a large, sealable plastic bag. Measure a half cup syrup from peaches and pour into same bag. Drain and refrigerate peaches. Add sour cream, onion, coriander, cumin, turmeric, garlic powder and cayenne to bag. Add turkey; knead bag to coat steaks in mixture. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Transfer contents of bag to a 2-quart rectangular glass dish, arranging turkey in one layer. Sprinkle with salt. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high 4 minutes. Turn each turkey steak over, recover and microwave on high 3-4 minutes, or until turkey tests done. Remove turkey; keep warm. Combine cornstarch and lemon juice.

Stir into sauce in dish. Add peaches around sides of dish; re-cover.

Stirring midway through cooking, microwave on high 4-5 minutes, or until sauce thickens. Arrange turkey and peaches on rice. Pour sauce over all and sprinkle with coconut. Serve immediately.
