Yankee johnnycake

⅔ | cup | Molasses |
3 | cups | Buttermilk |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
2 | teaspoons | Baking Soda |
1 | cup | All-Purpose Flour |
2½ | cup | Sifted Cornmeal |
Directions
* Preheat oven to 325 F.
1. Grease a large pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch Pyrex baking dish for example.
2. In a large bowl, beat the egg. Add the molasses and buttermilk and stir in the salt, soda, flour and cornmeal. Por batter in the dish.
3. Bake 35 mins, or until the cake is set. Cool slightly on a rack; serve warm.
