Apple and onion sauce

2 | mediums | Onions; finely shredded |
2 | smalls | Apples; finely chopped or sliced |
1 | Bay leaf | |
4 | cups | Diced or peeled tomatoes |
1 | pinch | Salt |
1 | pinch | Black pepper |
Directions
Place oil, onion, apple and bay leaf in a saucepan. Cover and simmer on low heat until apple and onion are dissolved (it takes 45 to 60 minutes).
