Pasta with onion sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 ounces Fettucine
cup Broccoli florets
Nonstick spray coating
1 medium Onion; sliced and separated
¾ cup Skim milk
2 teaspoons Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Chicken bouillon granules
1 dash Pepper
1 dash Ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons Dry white wine
2 ounces Fat-free mozzarella cheese

Directions

Cook fettuccine according to package directions, adding the broccoli for the last 5 minutes of cooking. Drain well.

Meanwhile, spray a large skillet with nonstick spray coatin. Add onion to the skillet. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat about 10 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

In a small bowl stir together milk, cornstarch, bouillion granules, pepper, and nutmeg. Add to onion in skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Stir in wine and cheese until cheese is melted. Pour cheese mixture over pasta and broccoli; toss to coat.
