Applesauce 'n yam scallop

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 tablespoons Butter; melted, divided
¾ cup Bread cubes, soft
1 cup Applesauce
¾ cup Yams; cooked, mashed
2 tablespoons Sugar, brown; firmly packed
dash Nutmeg, ground
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Milk, evaporated
1 Egg; beaten

Directions

Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter over bread cubes; toss lightly and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients; pour into a greased 3-cup casserole. Top with bread cubes. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes; allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
