3 | pounds | Fish; dressed (to 4 lbs.) |
1½ | teaspoon | Salt |
4 | tablespoons | Butter (or marg.); melted |
3 | slices | Bacon |
Directions
Wash and dry fish. Rub inside and out with salt. Place fish in a greased baking pan; brush with melted butter. Place slices of bacon over fish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 60 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. If fish seems dry while baking, baste occasionally with drippings or melted butter. Remove carefully to a hot platter. Garnish as desired, and serve immediately.
